Dyson Bladeless Fan

Its official name is the Dyson Air Multiplier. But I like to call it a bladeless fan. They are basically fans that somehow produce cold air even though there is absolutely no blade spinning within it.

What can be said of having a fan with no blades?  Beats the heck of of me but it looks cool as hell.

Dyson says its two selling features are that it is safe and easy to clean.  Funny, I never thought a traditional fan was not any of those two things.

Personally, I say the biggest selling point of the Dyson Bladeless fan is that it is a machine that actually looks like it belongs in the 21st century. Its about time companies start coming out with gadgets that actually look like they belong in 2012.  Remember how 2015 looked like in Back To The Future 2?  The flying cars, movies in 3D that came out at you and the Pepsi can…….

We are three years away from that date and life does seem anywhere near that.  This innovation at least takes us a step forward in that direction so that when Marty McFly lands here in his Dolorean he doesn’t still think he’s still in 1985 because from my point of view nothing has changed too much since then.

You can get the Dyson Air Multiplier in blue, silver or white.  I think the satin blue looks the best myself.

You can get it shaped in the form of a giant circle as you can see in the top picture or shaped in the form of a long oval.

Its tilts from left to right as a traditional fan.  As stated it has absolutely no blades going round and around so it looks like its producing air via black magic.

When I first saw this thing as BestBuy it blew my mind.  I went there to see if NBA 2K12 was on sale yet because I am a cheap bastard who doesn’t like paying full price for anything and I ended up starring at this device for ten minutes.  When I has finished I have completely forgotten what I had went to BestBuy for.

Its looks cool, is something you will love as well and will look good anywhere she places it in the house.  She will find an endless amount of spots to put this neat looking fan but she will likely put it in a place where guests can see it. Take Her To A Local Comedy Club

This is something you can treat her to almost any night of the week depending on where you live.  Most large cities over a 100,000 have at least one comedy club in the area and larger cities will have more than that.

Oh course, we all know when big-name comedians come to town because we hear about it on the radio all day and everyone clamors to get those really expensive tickets that sells out in a matter of days.  If you are ever able to afford and get those tickets to those shows, by all means, do so.

But, what few people do not realize is that there are lessor-known comedians who are just as funny, sometimes even more so.  I remember going to the Helium Club in Portland and two of the guys, whom I had never heard before, were so funny I started chocking profusely on my beer I had just drank.

If you notice she has been really stressed out lately or the relationship has been really strained then buying tickets to see some stand up comedians is the perfect idea. Book A Friday Night At A Nice Hotel

A friend of mine gave his wife this particular gift and he said it worked out really great.  He booked a night at a very nice hotel in downtown Portland and him and his wife spent the night there.  It wasn’t even a whole weekend; just a Friday night and she really enjoyed it.

Now, I am not talking about getting a room in a cheap motel located by the side of the highway for $49.95.  I am talking about booking a night at a really nice hotel with a really nice scenic view of the city or some other enjoyable landscape.

You would be surprised how she would appreciate just a simple one-night break in a really nice place.  While most of us can only take one or two major vacations a year the typical couple can take several mini-vacations throughout the year without going more than thirty miles from where they live.

Treat her to a nice diner, walk around a bit, go to an event and then retire back to your hotel.  If you’re feeling good you can even order breakfast in bed the next morning.

Items Are Not Always Necessary To Impress Her

In order to keep this website as useful as I possibly can I get the opinion of woman, some of whom I know and some of whom are random, of their idea of the “perfect & original gift.”

One girl I know named Kelsey texted me back this:

Hmmm, someone like me would want an adventure, take me somewhere, plan a whole day and wake me up in the morning, don’t tell me where we are going, just what I should bring and wear and spend the whole day together, somewhere that involves nature would be ideal. Day trip to the mountains, beach, hike, picnic, go sailing, a shooting trip, yeah haha take me to a beautiful place and I’d be happy.

This confirms what another woman told me a couple days ago about the experience being more important than the actual item.

I think this is an important thing to remember.  What you get her is not that important as the thought and actions surrounding it. And not all the time does it have to be an item at all.  An original present could be just taking her on a hike, to the park or somewhere in the city that she has not been before

Bake Her A Cake That Says I Love You

It was told to me today that woman love it when a man cooks for her.  It can be anything and the fact that it is coming from you makes it really special.

Why not bake her a sugary delight that will tantalize her taste buds and have her wondering what kind of  male hybrid she is with. No, I am not talking about going to the nearest grocery store and picking one up for $10.99 in the bakery department.  I am talking about baking her a real homemade cake with delicious frosting on top and a cute phrase that shows her how much she means to you.

Start by finding out what her favorite kind of cake is.  Do not assume its chocolate or vanilla. Ask her, nonchalantly, days before you plan to do it.

Then go to the store and buy the ingredients.  I searched for some decent websites made by woman who tell you how to make a cake because I am assuming most people reading this (including myself) will have no idea how to make one.

Take a look at The Cake Journal, Real Simple, Joy of Baking and WikiHow’s How To Make A Cheap Cake for ideas, instructions and the exact ingredients to get.

The fact that you have never made a cake in your entire life will make this gift even more special and unique. Even if you mess up a little she will appreciate the fact that you put forth the effort.

Make sure you top the cake off with some cute phrase like “I Love You Baby” or “Showing How Much I Care.”  Have it ready on the counter top for her when she comes home from work or running errands. She is sure to be delighted.

Every woman loves to get a manicure and pedicure.  They look forward to it with a passion. Afterwards they feel so relaxed (since the service comes with a hand and foot massage) and beautiful now that their hands and feet are in pristine condition.

In another post I mentioned that in general it is a bad idea to get a woman a gift certificate.  It is not the worst thing you can do in the world but it will not knock the socks of her either.

Contrary to what the media portrays woman love it when a guy takes charge and makes all the arrangements for her.  It demonstrates you as showing initiative and being alpha-male.

When you see her later that day tell her that you have arranged and paid for her next manicure and pedicure appointment.  Tell her the date, time and then walk away like it was nothing.

Watch how shocked she is when she realizes what you have done. She will subsequently follow you to ask you more details in total shock and disbelief. Quickly, she will start going over her schedule that day and deem she will not be able to fit that in.

Gently explain to her that she is not and that you have taken all the necessary preparations (picking up kids, running errands, etc) yourself to make sure she can make her appointment. While she may try to fight you on the outside deep inside her attraction for you will be growing exponentially.
